Summer Lake, Bridgewater, Conn.

A “good sky” means billowy clouds, and I am on a quest for images of clouds over water — not sure why — because mist on water requires early morning forays I guess. Here in Bridgewater the Housatonic River widens into Lake Lillinonah. The setting may appear serene, but I assure you the rumbling of the fast traffic behind me on the narrow bridge was a little unsettling. In contrast, kayaks slipped silently beneath toward the channel. A motor boat, however, pulled two rafters whose screams of delight added to the noisy mix. My image does what I want it to do, though under a sun already high and glaring, and one can imagine the earliest inhabitants in canoes sliding by like the kayakers on a summer outing.

About Susan Reinberg

My digital diaries and altered states photographs are my way of sharing my personal vision. These images reflect my daily life and surroundings. I would like to range farther in my photographic journeys. But in the meantime, as any photographer knows, the images are at my doorstep.
