Winter Orchard, Washington, CT

The cawing of crows added ominous import to the message posted on a nearby tree: No Trespassing. Despite the bitter cold, a dusting of snow made me pause outside the stone wall to photograph the crooked branches.

  1. This is superb – dark, moody and wild. It reminds me of the moors where I live. I love it!

    • I am grateful for your comment. It is so nice to connect to someone from a distant place. Though these days, of course, no place is really distant. Too bad I didn’t film this scene and catch the sound of the birds. I must go out and try to capture the bands of crows that are dotting the landscape in this bitter season. And oh to wander the moors! How wonderful.
